Rita Ford Music Boxes website was designed for the purpose of expanding the sales of their products to the internet utilizing an online catalog. The features of this site needed to display a presence of  elegance as well as an integrated catalog that would be easy for customers to navigate though 20 various catagories of over 250 available products to choose from.

 

 

Working closely with the client, every aspect of this site was carefully planned and each photograph for the catalog was individually retouched to provide the best possible visual details of the products to be viewed on all types of browsers. Each selected catagory presents a thumbnail array of available products with small descriptions.

 

Apon selection of the thumbnail catalog items, the viewer is presented with a larger image of that particular product and a more detailed description with available options such as color, musical tune and customized engraved plaque. After the client completes their selections, the catalog carries them through a few final steps in the checkout phase which also includes the calculation of shipping costs and an invoice for the customer to print for their records. The order is then emailed directly to the site owner.

 

One of the more exciting features is the web-based catalog administration system giving the site owner the ability to completely configure and manage the catalog from any location in the world. With just an internet connection, a web browser, and a ftp client program, the administrative "backend" allows the site owner to add or remove product information and images in the catalog without any technical expertise. Once the product is added or removed from the catalog, the site is instantly updated..
