ABC’s of Domain Name Registration
What’s in a name? Do I need a
.com,.org or a .net address? What is a .edu
address? Domain Names can be frustrating and with thousands being registered on a daily
basis worldwide, often times the good ones or the ones that mean something may be gone. If you have a domain name that needs registering
but you are not ready to use it quite yet it still makes sense to go ahead and register it
before it is gone. You can “park”
your domain name very easily through ERAY Designs. “Parking Your Domain Name”
simply means that you pay for the Domain Name and when you are ready for your web site or
have found a service provider you can activate the name by informing the registrar that
you now have a service provider and you give them the DNS number. A DNS number is a unique address that your web
hosting company uses to identify themselves and the web sites they host on the Internet.
Generally, when you register a Domain Name it is for a one-year period and then it is
renewable on a year- to- year basis. Our price
is $50.00 per year with the first two years payable at $75.00.

about Domain Names. . .
We have provided below a search mechanism which will enable you to find out if your
domain name has been taken or is available. If
you can’t get your Domain Name under .com try it as a .org or a .net. In the past .org was reserved for organizations
and businesses but now is open to anyone who wishes to use it. The one extension that is not used for the general
public or businesses is .edu. This is
reserved for Colleges and Universities and other educational institutes. Domain Names are only limited to your imagination
and ERAY Designs takes the guesswork out of registrations.
Whether you have a site designed by us or hosted by our service provider or
want to do the site yourself you can conveniently register your domain name through us.
